Sidebraid Substack
Happy New Year Sidebraid Stories FAMILY!
To commemorate the jubilee year, I will be transitioning from WordPress to Substack. Beyond the alliterative fate that is Sidebraid Substack, I believe the new platform will allow me to find my long-lost readers—strangers I haven’t met yet who’ve been waiting, praying, for a sidebraided writer to plop into their lives. I know you are out there, somewhere—my 2025 resolution is to find you. Plop.
Anticipated FAQs:
But what will happen to your 76 (slight flex) previously published blog posts?
Have no fear, the Archive is here! All Sidebraid Stories posts have been re-published to Substack—think: like Taylor’s Version, but better.
But what if I’m change-averse and need time to process all of this?
Sidebraid Stories will not officially retire from WordPress until 2026, yielding plenty of time to Google and work through the Kübler Ross Change Curve.
Why is Substack luring me to pay for a subscription?
WARNING: Substack might guilt trip you into paying to subscribe. But stay strong. I am NOT expecting anyone to spend their Benjamins on me. At the risk of sounding like a cliché, the greatest currency is your time. I mean it. Feel free to opt-in to the “free subscription” and receive access to the public good that is Sidebraid Stories.

Closing Remarks:
A big thank you to the eyes on the other side of this screen. Writing is filled with rejection and “ghosting,” but it’s moments like these—when another human spends their precious time to consume, and maybe even connect with, my story—that make this ride oh-so-magical.
XOXO,
A Girl with a Sidebraid and a Story (& a Substack!)
